South Africa should bring its best to defeat India:Ganguly

Team India had pulled off a historic win against South Africa the other day in their backyard. South Africa’s fortress Centurion fell before the brave Indian side resulting in India winning Boxing Day with a big margin of over 100 runs. India’s bowling attack needs a special mention here.

After the historic win, the Indian side is attracting a wide range of appreciation and congratulations from all the corners. From fans to former crickets, everyone is going gaga over India crushing South Africa in South Africa. Winning a Test series in South Africa is not what no Indian skipper had managed to pull off.

Former Indian captain and Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly is no exception in showering praise on the Indian team after the historic win. While appreciating the Virat Men, the Kolkata Prince Sourav Ganguly made a bold statement on how tough the current Indian side is.

Calling the historic win a great victory, Ganguly said he is not surprised by the win. ‘Dada’ Ganguly termed the Indian team as a team that is tough to defeat in the current series. He opined that South Africa should come up with its best to take on India.

“Great victory for Team India ..not surprised by the result at all…will be a hard team to beat this series..South africa will have to play out of their skins to do that ..enjoy the new year,” Sourav Ganguly tweeted while congratulating the brave team.

As a team effort, the current Indian team had achieved a record which the previous teams could not in South Africa. With an all-round performance, India crushed South Africa by 113 runs and went up 1-0 in the Test series.

We cannot talk about India’s historic win without mentioning the heroics of stylish batsman KL Rahul. Giving a solid start for India, KL Rahul brought his seventh century in the Test format.

His innings of 123 runs in the first innings almost made the difference and the bowlers played their role in defending the total and restricting the South African batsmen. Bumrah reached a rare milestone with a record of fastest Indian bowler to take 100 wickets overseas.
