SRH vs HCA: Controversy Escalates as Telangana CM Orders Probe

Share

The ongoing controversy between the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise and the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has taken a serious turn. Reports suggest that SRH representatives have sent a strongly worded email to HCA, expressing their frustration over alleged demands for free tickets.

The email reportedly states, “The unprofessional threats and blackmailing by HCA, especially from the president, make it clear that you do not want Sunrisers to play at your stadium. If that is the case, please confirm in writing so we can inform the BCCI, the Telangana government, and our top management. We will not hesitate to move to another venue.”

Following this explosive development, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has taken the matter seriously. According to the latest reports, he has ordered a vigilance probe into the issue and demanded a detailed report. If any wrongdoing is found, strict action will be taken against those responsible.

SRH has accused HCA of pressuring them for additional tickets and causing unnecessary trouble. The franchise has even threatened to relocate matches away from Hyderabad if the issue continues. Given that the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is a crucial venue with historical and cultural significance, the controversy has drawn widespread attention.

The HCA has often faced criticism for its lack of transparency and alleged unethical practices. If Revanth Reddy takes decisive action, it could significantly boost his image as a leader willing to bring reform to the state’s sports administration. The cricketing fraternity now awaits the outcome of the probe, which could have major implications for Hyderabad cricket.
