The mortal remains of late Sridevi have arrived to Mumbai home today night at 10.00 PM in a special charter flight from Dubai to Mumbai airport. After completing all formalities at the Mumbai airport, Sridevi’s body is shifted to her residence in Lokhandwala via ambulance.
Sridevi’s body would be kept for public viewing from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM tomorrow at Celebration Sports Club in Lokhandwala near her residence. In a statement, the bereaved family said that her mortal remains are kept for public display and people to pay their last respects before it is taken for cremation.
The family said media can also pay their respects “provided camera, recording devices, etc are left outside the venue”. The last journey will commence at 2 pm from Celebration Sports Club to Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium and Hindu Cemetery, the statement added.
The 54-year-old veteran actress is survived by husband Boney Kapoor, daughters Jhanvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor. She accidentally died in a bathtub full of water after reportedly falling unconscious on Feb 24, 2018 at 11.00 PM (Dubai Time) in Dubai. After investigating, the Dubai Prosecution office has denied any foul play in Sridevi’s death and given clearance letters to her family, Indian consulate to hand over her body.
