Pawan Kalyan’s Hits & Setbacks with Trivikram and Harish Shankar

Whenever the name Pawan Kalyan is mentioned, two directors often come to mind — Trivikram Srinivas and Harish Shankar. Both have openly expressed immense admiration for the star and are often seen as key contributors to his cinematic journey.
Trivikram Srinivas delivered one of the biggest blockbusters in Pawan Kalyan’s career with Attarintiki Daredi. Similarly, Harish Shankar gave him another massive hit with Gabbar Singh, which remains a cult favorite among fans.
However, not all collaborations turned out successful. Agnyaathavaasi, directed by Trivikram, ended up being one of the biggest setbacks in Pawan Kalyan’s career despite a festive release and high expectations.
Following this, Harish Shankar teamed up again with Pawan Kalyan for Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Unfortunately, the film failed to meet expectations at the box office, reportedly impacting the actor’s decision regarding future film commitments. Industry buzz suggests that the underwhelming performance left him quite disappointed.
Reports indicate that the film struggled commercially, failing to cross major milestones in both domestic and overseas markets. In contrast, his earlier film OG, directed by Sujeeth, created a strong impact by reportedly achieving massive openings on day one itself.
This contrast highlights how even strong collaborations can deliver mixed results, depending on the content and audience reception.
