Chandrababu Naidu, the former Chief Minister of unified Andhra Pradesh and current leader of the residual state, has long been recognized for his strategic approach to building a brand image for the state and promoting it as a prime investment destination. His leadership style and visionary outlook continue to garner respect from political peers across India, and now Telangana IT Minister and Congress leader Sridhar Babu has joined the ranks of those praising Naidu’s political acumen and administrative zeal.
In a recent media interaction, Sridhar Babu expressed his belief that under Naidu’s leadership, Andhra Pradesh has the potential to emerge as a global hub for business and investment. He emphasized that with Naidu’s expansive vision and forward-thinking mentality, the state could transform into a prime destination for international investments.
Sridhar Babu highlighted the state’s abundant resources, including the longest coastline in India, which he believes would attract substantial investments. Reflecting on his discussions at the Davos Summit, he recalled speaking with Nara Lokesh, Naidu’s son, about the reasons why no MOUs were signed at the event. Lokesh explained that the plan was to secure investments directly in Andhra Pradesh.
Sridhar Babu praised Naidu’s bold plans and innovative strategies to establish the state as an investment haven. He jokingly remarked that if Naidu’s ambitious plans succeeded, the media might even start focusing more on Andhra Pradesh than Telangana. Despite the friendly competition, Sridhar Babu made it clear that Naidu’s efforts were not aimed at diverting investments away from Hyderabad but were intended to replicate the success of the capital city in other parts of Andhra Pradesh.
Additionally, he lauded Naidu’s dedication, especially at the age of 74, recalling how Naidu stuck to his regular attire, even in freezing temperatures at the Davos Summit, displaying a strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to his vision for the state’s future.
