Veteran filmmaker Kiran Kumar, best known for directing Nagarjuna’s Kedi, passed away today, leaving the film fraternity in deep shock. The sudden demise has saddened many, especially as Kiran Kumar was in the middle of a promising comeback, earning appreciation for his recent acting performances while preparing to re-establish himself as a director.

Kiran Kumar’s last directorial venture, KJQ – King Jackie Queen, has already completed shooting and is currently in the post-production stage. Those close to the project say he was excited about the film and hopeful it would mark a strong return to direction.

Before making his mark as a director, Kiran Kumar honed his craft by assisting legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam on several notable projects, gaining valuable experience in storytelling and filmmaking. In recent times, he also impressed audiences as an actor and was last seen portraying a CBI officer in Vijay Antony’s Bhadrakali.
