Even Bollywood superstars are not immune to unexpected controversies, and Shah Rukh Khan along with Deepika Padukone have recently found themselves in the spotlight for a legal matter. The celebrated duo, famous for films like Om Shanti Om, Happy New Year, Pathaan, and Jawan, are generally in the news for their cinematic work or endorsements, but this time, the issue is quite different.
The controversy arose when Kirti Singh, a lawyer from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, purchased a Hyundai Alcazar in 2022 for Rs 23.97 lakh. He claimed that the advertisements featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone influenced his decision. However, soon after, the vehicle experienced multiple problems, including vibrations, poor acceleration, warning alerts, and unusual noises. Despite repeated complaints to both the dealership and Hyundai, the issues remained unresolved.
Singh subsequently filed a complaint against Hyundai, the dealership, and the actors, citing cheating, breach of trust, and conspiracy. Following this, the Bharatpur court directed the police to register an FIR, naming Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and six Hyundai officials. Investigations are currently underway to examine the allegations and gather necessary records.
The news has taken fans and the industry by surprise. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for The King, which also features his daughter Suhana Khan, while Deepika Padukone, after Singham Again, will star alongside Allu Arjun in the sci-fi action project AA22xA6 directed by Atlee. Despite the legal proceedings, both stars remain focused on their work, showing that even celebrities must navigate challenges beyond the silver screen.
