SS Rajamouli Congratulates ISRO on ‘Bahubali’ Rocket Launch

Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli, the visionary behind the Baahubali franchise, took to social media to applaud the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for its successful launch of the powerful rocket Launch Vehicle Mark-3 (LVM-3) — popularly known as “Bahubali.” The rocket carried India’s heaviest communication satellite, CMS-03, into orbit, marking a proud milestone in the nation’s space journey and further boosting broadcasting, telecom, and broadband networks.

Sharing his joy, Rajamouli wrote, “Congratulations to ISRO… A proud moment for India. Onwards and upwards!” The nickname Bahubali was inspired by Rajamouli’s cinematic masterpiece, symbolizing immense strength and scale — just like the film’s titular hero.

Interestingly, the Baahubali saga has found new life in theatres as “Baahubali: The Epic,” a re-edited single version of both films. ISRO’s groundbreaking achievement and Rajamouli’s heartfelt tribute beautifully highlight how Indian science and cinema continue to make the nation proud — both reaching for the stars in their own ways.
