Sudheer Anand, a familiar face on the small screen who has successfully transitioned to the big screen with four films, is all set for his fifth cinematic venture. The upcoming film, ‘Hai Lesso’, marks the directorial debut of Prasanna Kumar Kota and is produced by Siva Cherry and Ravikiran under the banner of Vajra Varahi Cinemas.
The title, Hai Lesso, resonates with the heartland, inspired by a familiar idiom popular among farming communities. Its logo reflects its rustic origins, cleverly designed in the shape of a ship, with a female leg forming the letter ‘S’.
The title poster hints at a mythological undertone. It features a foot adorned with golden ornaments resting on a lush leaf, above a sacrificial offering of rice, hen, and goat heads—symbolizing ritual and reverence. The protagonist, holding a blood-stained sword, evokes a sense of divine wrath, setting the tone for the film’s narrative.
The film’s opening ceremony took place today, with actor Nikhil unveiling the title logo to mark the beginning of the event. Bunny Vasu handed over the script to the team, while the first camera shot was powered on by directors Vassishta, Chandoo Mondeti, and Meher Ramesh. Renowned director VV Vinayak lent his touch by clapping the muhurtham shot, which was ultimately directed by Prasanna Kumar Kota himself.
With its evocative title and intriguing poster, Hai Lesso promises to be a compelling addition to Sudheer Anand’s cinematic journey.
