Filmmakers often choose star kids to portray the younger versions of lead actors, as it ensures both resemblance and a natural emotional connection. One such example now comes from Sudheer Babu’s family. The actor, known for his versatile roles, is Mahesh Babu’s brother-in-law and husband of Priyadarshini. He has two sons — Charith Maanas and Darshan — both of whom are showing early promise in cinema.
The elder son, Charith Maanas (19), has frequently drawn comparisons to his uncle Mahesh Babu for his looks. He appeared as young Nani in Bhale Bhale Magadivoy (2015) and is reportedly preparing for his acting debut soon.
Meanwhile, Darshan has already made a mark with notable child roles — as young Adivi Sesh in Goodachari (2018) and young Mahesh Babu in Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Now, he’s set to play the young Prabhas in the upcoming epic Fauzi.
While promoting his new film Jatadhara, Sudheer Babu confirmed his son’s involvement in Fauzi. The role reportedly includes long Sanskrit dialogues, which Darshan delivered with impressive confidence, according to unit sources.
With both Charith and Darshan stepping into the spotlight, Sudheer Babu’s family clearly carries strong film roots.
Fauzi is described as a historical fiction action drama with a romantic touch, starring Prabhas and Imanvi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, with music by Vishal Chandrashekhar. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner.
