The Telugu audience has consistently shown strong support for content-driven small films, often overlooking budget limitations if the story strikes the right chord. One such promising addition is Dooradarshini, which recently received a significant boost with acclaimed filmmaker Sukumar unveiling one of its songs.
Sukumar, celebrated for his work on Pushpa and Pushpa 2, launched the lyrical video of the melodious track “Apanna TannaManna” from Dooradarshini. The film stars Suvikshith Bojja and Geethika Ratan in lead roles and is directed by Karthikeya Kommi. It is being produced by B. Sai Pratap Reddy and Jaya Shankar Reddy under the Varaha Movie Makers banner.
Set in the nostalgic backdrop of the 1990s, Dooradarshini is a heartfelt love story that is currently in its post-production phase. The newly released song, sung by Sindhuj and Srinivasan, features meaningful lyrics by Suresh Banisetti with music composed by Anand Gururaj.
The track follows the earlier positive reception to the film’s teaser and the lyrical video “Naanidda Velluthundaa.” At the launch event, Sukumar praised Suvikshith’s commitment, fondly recalling their first meeting when Suvikshith was still farming. He described the song as beautiful and wished the entire team great success.
Suvikshith Bojja expressed his gratitude, calling it a true honor to have Sukumar launch their song. He added that Dooradarshini will take audiences on a nostalgic journey, reminding them of their own 90s love stories through its relatable characters and grounded storytelling.
Backed by a dedicated cast and crew, Dooradarshini is shaping up to be a film to watch out for in the content-rich space of Telugu cinema.
