Sumanth’s web film Anaganaga has been receiving an impressive response from audiences. The film’s emotional depth and strong performances have struck a chord, earning praise from many — including superstar Mahesh Babu. Streaming on ETV Win, the film, which also features Kajal Chowdhary and Viharsh, has crossed an impressive 150 million streaming minutes, bringing Sumanth a fresh wave of attention.
During a recent fan interaction, Sumanth joined director Sunny Sanjay to answer questions. One fan asked whether actors from film families still need to audition for roles. Sumanth’s candid response was that while industry connections might open doors initially, they don’t guarantee success.
He revealed that he had recently auditioned for four to five Hindi films but was rejected in all of them, primarily due to his lack of fluency in Hindi. “My Hindi wasn’t strong enough, and that cost me those roles,” he admitted. Sumanth added that in the film industry, nothing is ever guaranteed. Even those with a background or experience face rejection. “If I wasn’t an actor, I would have chosen something else,” he said, highlighting the uncertainty and competitiveness of the profession.
