For a long time now, there have been ongoing debates about the filmmaking techniques used in Bollywood. With the growing demand for large-scale, visionary cinema, many believe that the Hindi film industry should take inspiration from Telugu cinema, known for its grand storytelling and technical finesse.Bollywood star Sunny Deol, who is currently working with Telugu director Gopichand Malineni on the upcoming action film Jaat, echoed this sentiment. As the film gears up for its grand release on April 10, the makers have been actively promoting it.

In a recent interaction, Sunny Deol made a striking statement about Bollywood’s struggles, urging the industry to take valuable lessons from Telugu filmmakers. He pointed out that Bollywood often suffers from too many voices interfering in the creative process, leading to a diluted final product. Deol criticized the lack of passion and authenticity in the industry, stating that filmmakers and actors are more focused on commercial success rather than artistic expression and strong narratives.

He also emphasized that excessive dependence on remakes and fleeting trends has diminished Bollywood’s creative spirit. According to Deol, the industry needs to prioritize originality and compelling storytelling to reclaim its former glory. His strong remarks serve as a wake-up call for Bollywood to introspect and evolve in order to stay relevant in today’s competitive cinematic landscape.
