Little Hearts Shines Among Top 10 Most Profitable Indian Films of 2025

In a year largely dominated by star-driven cinema, “Hearts” has emerged as a major source of pride for the Telugu film industry. Made on a modest Little budget of just Rs 2 crore, the film went on to collect an impressive Rs 26.47 crore nett at the box office. Its remarkable performance earned it the 4th position among the top 10 most profitable Indian films of 2025, standing tall alongside films from much larger industries.
Topping the list was the Gujarati surprise hit “Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate”, which was produced on a shoestring budget of Rs 50 lakh and amassed a staggering Rs 94.02 crore nett. The 2nd rank was secured by the Kannada blockbuster “Su From So”, which turned a Rs 4.5 crore investment into Rs 92.33 crore. The 3rd position went to the Hindi animated film “Mahavatar Narasimha”, which collected Rs 247.96 crore nett against a budget of Rs 15 crore.
Hindi film “Saiyaara” claimed the 5th rank, earning Rs 337.66 crore nett on a budget of Rs 45 crore. The list also highlighted the strong theatrical presence of films from smaller industries. The Assamese film “Roi Roi Binale” secured the 6th rank, collecting Rs 30.35 crore on a Rs 5 crore budget, while the Odia film “Bou Buttu Bhuta” stood 7th, earning Rs 16.17 crore against an investment of Rs 3 crore.
The Malayalam film “Lokah: Chapter 1” ranked 8th, generating Rs 155.94 crore nett from a Rs 30 crore budget. Kannada epic “Kantara: Chapter 1” followed closely at 9th place, with a massive Rs 621.56 crore nett collection on a Rs 125 crore budget. Rounding off the top 10 was the Marathi film “Dashavatar”, which earned Rs 24.18 crore nett against a Rs 5 crore investment.
Overall, the success of Little Hearts and several other content-driven films stands out as a pleasant surprise in 2025, reinforcing the fact that strong storytelling can triumph over star power in Indian cinema.
