Tamil superstar Vijay was questioned by the income tax officials for more than five hours on the sets of ‘Master’ over the tax evasion allegations being faced by the AGS Cinemas, the producers of his previous film ‘Bigil’.
Also, the properties he owned in Neelangarai and Saligramam areas in Chennai were being searched by the IT sleuths as part of their investigation into AGS Cinemas. The raids went along at 20 locations belonging to the Bigil producers AGS Cinemas over the tax evasion allegations and a total of 38 locations were raided in Tamil Nadu.
Reportedly, a Rs 25 Crore of unaccounted cash and documents hinting tax evasion were seized from a financier who earlier faced allegations of forceful money recovering.
According to the reports, nothing has been recovered from the actor Vijay’s properties. Vijay was featured in Forbes’ list of 50 highest-paid celebrities in 2019, at 38th spot.
