Tabu, one of Indian cinema’s most versatile actors, is known for her work across multiple languages. She appeared in several Telugu films during the 1990s and early 2000s, most notably sharing memorable screen moments with Nagarjuna. The duo starred together in hits like Sinsindri, Aavida Maa Aavide, and the blockbuster Ninne Pelladatha. Despite their long-standing friendship, they haven’t appeared on screen together in the last three decades — until now.
Tabu is reportedly returning to Telugu cinema with Nagarjuna’s milestone 100th project, marking a significant comeback. While the makers have not yet officially announced the project, the film has recently been launched and is now in production. Interestingly, unlike her previous roles as Nagarjuna’s romantic interest, in #King100, Tabu will portray a key, non-romantic character central to the story. The female lead is yet to be finalized.
In addition to Nagarjuna’s project, Tabu has also signed Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming Telugu film, Slumdog, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Samyuktha Menon, where she will play an important role. After nearly two decades, Tabu is now returning to South Indian cinema with back-to-back projects.
The 100th film is tentatively titled #King100, with music reportedly composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Rumors suggest the action drama could be called Lottery King. An official announcement with the full cast and crew details is expected soon.
