Actress Tamannaah Bhatia recently addressed some bizarre and persistent rumours from the past, including speculation about her alleged marriage to former Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq. Speaking candidly in a recent interview, Tamannaah revealed that she was both amused and embarrassed by the false reports.
The rumours reportedly stemmed from a public appearance with Razzaq at a jewellery store event years ago. Tamannaah clarified that it was merely a professional engagement and nothing more. “I once read online that I was briefly married to Abdul Razzaq, and I couldn’t help but laugh. It was embarrassing,” she said, calling the internet a funny and unpredictable place.
The actress also addressed earlier link-up rumours with Indian cricket star Virat Kohli. “I’ve only met Virat once in my life. That’s it. I felt bad reading those stories because there was absolutely no truth to them,” she shared.
Tamannaah acknowledged that social media speculation is part and parcel of a celebrity’s life today. She admitted that such gossip often makes her uncomfortable, but over time, she has learned to cope with it. “You can’t control what’s said about you. It takes time to accept that some things are just beyond your control,” she added.
Interestingly, Tamannaah also confessed that she occasionally Googles herself—not out of vanity, but to keep track of public perception and to see what kind of rumours are circulating. “It helps me stay aware of how people are responding to my work and what narratives are being spun about me.”
