TDP Sets Historic Record with Over 1 Crore Memberships

The term “all-time record” is often associated with the film industry, especially when a movie achieves unprecedented box office success, earning the title of “all-time blockbuster.” However, this time, the label fits perfectly for the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which has set a monumental record with its membership numbers.

The party has now achieved a historic milestone by registering over 1 crore memberships. The latest figures indicate a staggering total of 1,00,20,065 members. This marks the first time in TDP’s history that membership has crossed the one crore mark.

What makes this achievement even more impressive is the party’s growing influence not only in Andhra Pradesh but also in neighboring Telangana, where more than 15 lakh registrations have been completed. The membership, priced at Rs 100 per person, offers a significant benefit—a Rs 5 lakh insurance cover. TDP has already spent Rs 42 crore on premiums for the members, making this a remarkable initiative.

The momentum of the membership drive was significantly boosted by Nara Lokesh, whose introduction of the insurance policy and additional perks resonated with the public.

Among the various regions, the Nellore Assembly segment is leading in terms of the number of registrations, while Kuppam, the constituency of party leader N. Chandrababu Naidu, ranks fifth. This spread indicates that the membership drive is being carried out effectively across diverse regions.

From struggling in the 2019 elections, when questions were raised about the party’s future, to securing an overwhelming majority in the 2024 elections, and now hitting an all-time high in membership, the Telugu Desam Party has undoubtedly come a long way, reinforcing its growing political presence.
