Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently focused on two major commitments — completing the much-delayed Vishwambhara and finishing the recently launched film with director Anil Ravipudi. These projects will keep him busy for the rest of 2025.

Looking ahead to 2026, Chiranjeevi has reportedly given the green signal to a few new ventures, including one with director Bobby, who previously scored a hit with Waltair Veerayya. Despite Bobby’s most recent film Daaku Maharaj falling short both critically and commercially, Chiranjeevi has entrusted him with developing a fresh script.

However, this proposed collaboration is already facing significant budget-related hurdles. With OTT platforms becoming cautious and cutting back on spending for routine commercial films — especially those lacking pan-India appeal — a Chiranjeevi-Bobby film isn’t commanding strong demand in the digital market. This situation limits the potential for lucrative non-theatrical rights sales.

Compounding the challenge is Chiranjeevi’s substantial remuneration and Bobby’s history of working with inflated budgets. For the production team, ensuring a financially viable project while leveraging Chiranjeevi’s star power is proving to be a tricky balancing act.

At present, the film remains in the scripting phase while the team navigates these financial and strategic concerns before moving forward with production plans.
