Do we love to hear some names in Telugu like say ‘Eddhu Kannu’, a true translation of the word bull’s-eye (written bullseye)? But this Hindi film has it named ‘Saandh Ki Aankh’ and features two star heroines Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar in the leads.
Based on the real life of two shooter athletes, the 70-year-old sisters, Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar, the film chronicles their life and times from a different perspective. Played by Taapse and Bhumi, these two sisters started learning to shoot rifles at the age of 50 in the year 1998 in Uttar Pradesh’s Johri village and won 350+ medals already.
The teaser is quite intriguing as both Taapsee and Bhumi stunned as veteran ladies, though their makeup is little artificial at times. Especially Taapsee’s charm and Bhumi’s style are captivating. The whole subject sounds like another Dangal and director Tushar Hiranandani has done a commendable job we have to say.
Saand Ki Aankh will be releasing on Diwali eve, while the date is not yet confirmed.
