After an extremely creditable performance in the MLC elections, what is the next plan for TV personality Teenmaar Mallanna? He challenged TRS candidate Palla Rajeshwar Reddy in the Graduate MLC contest for the Warangal-Nalgonda-Khammam seat. Though he lost the polls, Teenmaar Mallanna has go considerable number of votes and got more support than both the BJP and the Congress. In fact, he had even pipped past Prof Kodandaram, who is more well-known.
Mallanna is now planning to undertake a state-wide padayatra. He is reportedly finalising a 6000 km long padayatra covering every nook and corner of the state. He recently held a meeting of his supporters in a village called Kachavani Singaram in Ghatkesar mandal and announced that he would continue his struggle against the TRS misrule. He said that he would focus now on the 2023 elections. He told his supporters that he would not be cowed down by the threats from the TRS.
.While Mallanna did not specify his sources of finances, there are questions about who will fund him. For the next two years, he might have to keep a band of followers and he has to spend for them. Where will he get funds for organising this padayatra. Well! There are no clear answers yet. Let’s wait and see how things unfold
