Telangana Journalist schools AP Finance Minister on his comments

While presenting the bill to repeal the three capitals bill in Andhra Pradesh Assembly, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy told the house that decentralisation of the developments is the need of the hour, and rather than bringing all the companies to a single place like Hyderabad, the development should be distributed for the overall development of the state.

These comments on development concentration in Hyderabad did not sit well with the senior journalist from Telangana Katta Shekar Reddy who worked with various media outlets like Namasthe Telangana, Udayam, Andhra Jyothi, Vaartha, and Mahaa TV. He countered the Andhra Pradesh Minister’s comments and schooled him on his claims.

The senior journalist in his Tweet had opined that the claims of the AP Finance Minister that the central public sector undertakings were set up in Hyderabad only. Countering his claims, the journalist had mentioned that the shore city Visakhapatnam has 20 such undertakings. In a Twitter thread, Columnist Katta Sekhar Reddy had listed out all the twenty public sector undertakings that were in Vizag. He even mentioned the areas where the undertakings were set up.

“AP Finance Minister presented a foolish argument that all central public sector undertakings were concentrated in Hyderabad. HE forgot that Vizag had 20 large public sector undertakings. Vizag Steel, BHEL/BHVP, VPT, HPCL, IOC,NTPC, Coramandel Fertilizers, BPCL, NTSL, DCI etc,” Namasthe Telangana Editor Katta Shekar Reddy said in a tweet.
