Telegram Rolls Out New Features to Enhance Productivity and Monetisation for Creators
Telegram has unveiled a powerful set of new features aimed at boosting user productivity, deepening engagement, and expanding financial opportunities for creators—while staying true to its core values of privacy and user control.
Interactive Checklists for Premium Users
Premium users can now create interactive checklists directly within any chat—be it a group, personal conversation, or even their own Saved Messages. This feature helps users coordinate group projects, manage daily routines, or plan events more efficiently.
Checklists can be shared and edited collaboratively, with customisable permissions to control who can add or tick off items. To use this tool, users simply select “Checklist” from the attachment menu.
Subscriber-Suggested Posts in Channels
Telegram is also strengthening the bond between creators and their audiences with a new feature that allows channel subscribers to suggest posts. Whether it’s fan art, promotional content, or product reviews, users can easily submit their ideas via the message bar icon in channels.
Creators retain full control, with the ability to review, edit, and schedule submissions as they see fit.
Monetisation via Funded Posts
To further empower creators, Telegram now supports funding of suggested posts using Telegram Stars or Toncoin. Supporters can contribute to content they want to see published. If the post goes live, the creator receives the reward after 24 hours. If removed earlier, contributions made with Stars are refunded automatically. (Toncoin payments, however, are non-refundable.)
Users can purchase both Stars and Toncoin through services like Fragment and @PremiumBot, making monetisation accessible even in regions without Google or Apple Pay support.
More Ways for Creators to Earn
Suggested posts now serve a dual purpose—enhancing community interaction and enabling revenue generation. Creators can crowdsource content, promote affiliate products, and earn directly within the platform. While Telegram Stars offer flexible contributions with refund options, Toncoin provides a more secure, non-reversible payment method for guaranteed earnings.
These updates are part of Telegram’s broader push to build a robust ecosystem for creators—without compromising on user experience, control, or platform integrity.
