A 37-year-old ONGC employee allegedly took the lives of his two minor sons due to concerns over their academic performance before dying by suicide, according to police officials on Saturday.

The incident occurred on Friday morning around 10 a.m. when V. Chandra Kishore reportedly drowned his children in a bucket of water, allegedly distressed by their academic struggles.

According to police statements, Kishore feared that his children would face difficulties in a highly competitive world if they did not excel in their studies. Unable to cope with this thought, he is believed to have taken the extreme step.

Authorities recovered a suicide note, the contents of which are currently under examination. Forensic teams have been deployed as part of an ongoing investigation to establish the precise circumstances surrounding the tragic event.

In a complaint, Kishore’s wife, Rani, reported that she discovered her husband hanging in their bedroom, while their children were found unresponsive in a bucket. Law enforcement has registered a case, and further investigations are underway.
