Telusu Kada — the much-awaited Telugu romantic comedy starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Raashi Khanna, and Srinidhi Shetty — hit theatres on October 17, 2025, but unfortunately opened to a slow start at the box office.
As per early trade reports, the film managed to collect around ₹2 crore net on Day 1, with an overall occupancy of 27.92% across the Telugu states. Interestingly, the night shows performed better, clocking close to 39% occupancy, hinting at decent word of mouth among a section of youth audiences.
Directed and written by Neeraja Kona, Telusu Kada is facing tough competition from simultaneous releases like Dude and K-Ramp, which have taken a chunk of the audience share.
The film has received mixed to negative reviews, with critics pointing out a weak and predictable script, especially in the second half, which dips in pace and engagement. However, Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s witty dialogues and Srinidhi Shetty’s composed performance have earned some praise. Despite these positives, reviewers felt that the strong performances couldn’t fully elevate the film from its uneven writing and sluggish execution.
