Telusu Kada, one of the recent Telugu releases, marks the directorial debut of Neeraja Kona and stars Siddhu Jonnalagadda in the lead. While the film didn’t perform exceptionally at the box office, the performances of the lead actors received appreciation. Both Srinidhi Shetty and Raashi Khanna were lauded not only for their acting but also for bringing glamour and charm to the screen.
Despite the praise, the film may not immediately boost the careers of the two heroines. Srinidhi Shetty, for instance, isn’t directly benefiting from Telusu Kada, as she had already been signed for Victory Venkatesh’s upcoming project with Trivikram Srinivas prior to the release. Having made her Telugu debut with Nani’s HIT 3, she hasn’t yet had a breakout hit that significantly elevates her market presence. Telusu Kada was actually one of her first signed films, and while it showcased her talent, it didn’t bring massive recognition. Now, her next project with Venkatesh will be pivotal in establishing her as a star heroine in Tollywood.
On the other hand, Raashi Khanna had high hopes for Telusu Kada, marking her return to Telugu cinema after three years — her last film being Pakka Commercial. Although her performance was appreciated, the film’s commercial outcome may limit new opportunities. She will now be relying on Ustaad Bhagat Singh to gain greater visibility, reach, and promising offers.
Both actresses have proven talent, but their upcoming projects will play a critical role in shaping their standing in the Telugu film industry.
