Tennis Star Sania Mirza Raises Huge Money For COVID-19


Following the deadly outbreak of the COVID-19 in India, many sportspersons and businessman have lent their helping hands to fight the pandemic by announcing donations and donating medical equipment and medical masks.
Now Sania Mirza too joined the list of sportspersons to donate money to fight the global pandemic. She has successfully raised Rs 1.28 crore as her part to help the nation to fight the pandemic.
She took to Twitter to confirm the same and said that she has raised a huge amount of Rs 1.25 crore.
“The last week we have tried as a team to provide some help to the people in need..we provided food to thousands of families and raised 1.25 Crore in one week which will help close to 1 lakh people.its an ongoing effort and we are in this together @youthfeedindia @safaindia,” Sania Mirza’s Tweet read.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) Fund and urged the citizens of India to support the cause
