The COVID-19 pandemic is showing its rage in cities and most importantly the Hyderabad is the worst-hit city in both Telugu States. Daily at least 40 cases are being registered in the GHMC region and along with the Hyderabadi people, the police are shivering with fear.
The police are the only people present in the containment zones in the GHMC and they have got a very good name in the recent period for putting their risk at lives in this Lockdown period. Yet, they have their own concerns. Many migrant workers are landing in Hyderabad and the risk of getting infected with the virus is very high now.
For the last 4-5 days, the Hyderabad Police are getting infected with the COVID-19 on a regular basis. Most recently, 3 police officers were infected with the virus in a day and 95% of the registered cases in Telangana over the past weeks constitute in Hyderabad alone.
Among the three latest victims, one is SI, the other is an inspector and there is a constable in the list. Recently a Constable has died of Coronavirus and the Police people in Hyderabad now understand the clear risk of being exposed in public.
