In a shocking incident, a person recently issued a bomb threat to Kollywood star Thalapathy Vijay’s residence in Neelankarai, Chennai.
As per reports, an anonymous call was made to the Tamil Nadu Police Master Control Room claiming a possible bomb blast at the actor’s residence. A bomb detective and disposal squad (BDDS) and a sniffer dog team were sent to the spot, and the threat was found to be a hoax.
During the investigation, it was found that the threat was made from the Villupuram district. Police identified the caller as Bhuvaneswaran.
“The hoax caller has been arrested and has been booked under various Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections,” a senior police officer said.
“He in regular intervals makes hoax calls warning the police of a possible bomb threat,” added the officer.
This was not the first time the Police got a call threatening to blast Vijay’s residence. The police, in July 2020, had received an anonymous call claiming the same.
