
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda, which released in 2021, became a massive hit not only for its powerful storytelling but also for Thaman S’s electrifying background score that elevated the film’s action sequences to another level. Now, all eyes are on the much-awaited sequel, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, as fans eagerly await what Thaman has in store this time.
The film is slated for release in the first week of December, marking yet another high-voltage collaboration between Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu, a duo that has already delivered three blockbusters together.
Thaman has already completed scoring for the first half of the movie and recently revealed that the sequel’s background score will offer a “divine yet intense” musical experience, surpassing the original. Adding a unique touch, the renowned Pandit duo Shravan Mishra and Atul Mishra, known for their soulful recitations of shlokas and Vedic hymns, have joined hands with Thaman to enhance the spiritual and mythological elements of the soundtrack.
The makers officially announced this collaboration, emphasizing Thaman’s commitment to delivering something truly special for Akhanda fans.
Starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, Samyukta Menon, and Aadi Pinisetty, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is written and directed by Boyapati Sreenu, produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under 14 Reels Plus, and presented by M. Tejaswini Nandamuri. With Thaman once again behind the music, expectations are sky-high for a thunderous theatrical experience.
