Bheems Ceciroleo is currently one of the most sought-after music composers in Telugu cinema. After delivering chartbusters in Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam, he quickly rose to prominence. He also bagged a major opportunity to compose music for Anil Ravipudi’s next film with Chiranjeevi. However, in a surprising move, Bheems is not scoring the background music (BGM) for Mad Square, which is set to release on March 28.
Despite composing the music for the first installment, Mad, Bheems has been replaced by Thaman for the sequel’s BGM. According to inside sources, Bheems was unable to dedicate enough time due to his commitments to the Chiranjeevi-Ravipudi project. Another perspective suggests that this was a mutual decision to elevate the film’s impact with a more powerful BGM.
Considering Bheems’ rising craze, many believe that the makers of Mad Square could have leveraged his popularity to build more hype around the film. His work in Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam was well received, and he has the potential to pull crowds. However, the decision to bring in Thaman—who has previously worked on BGMs for films composed by other musicians, including Radhe Shyam, DJ Tillu, and parts of Pushpa 2—was kept under wraps until an official announcement just days before the release.
Billed as a youthful entertainer, Mad Square features Nithin Narne, Sangeet Shobhan, and Ram Nithin in lead roles. Notably, the film has no heroine, but a special song featuring Priyanka Jawalkar has been added. Kalyan Shankar directs the project, which is produced by Sithara Entertainments.
