It is known that one of the most profound, wealthy, and fair-weather politicians in Andhra Pradesh, Ganta Srinivasa Rao is eyeing to join the YSR Congress Party. This ex-Minster has been in talks with the high command and there are some personal reasons associated with this defection of him.
However, YSRCP is not letting him enjoy the easy meat. From some YSRCP sources, it is being said that YS Jagan has already insisted that Ganta resign his MLA post first and then get reelected to the assembly to join the party.
In a different scenario, some party leaders demand that after the resignation he must help the YSRCP candidate to win the election and Ganta would be given the State Planning Board chairperson’s post, which is a cabinet rank post.
Most importantly, Minster Avanti Srinivas who is the arch-rival of Srinivasa Rao is said to be staunchly opposed Ganta’s entry into the party. Another prominent thing is that he should clear all the allegations on him first regarding some deals in his ministry and only then he should enter the party.
Only Vijay Sai Reddy and Avanti Srinivas are said to be very particular on this condition. Let’s see to what extent do Ganta obliges these demands.
