These people are just threatening the High Court..!

It is known that the tribunal of the AP High Court had issued directions on October 1 to find out whether there was a constitutional breach in the state and was prepared to hear arguments in that direction.

As soon as the hearing began on Wednesday, Senior Councilor SS Prasad on behalf of the police said that the case was pending in the Telangana High Court and requested the court to allow some time to hear arguments on the petition.

The tribunal agreed with them and gave some time. In the meanwhile, the prosecuting attorneys, who are already online, said the Advocate General during a hearing on the 14th of this month said that the court did not have any jurisdiction to decide whether a constitutional breach had taken place in the state or not.

Senior advocate SS Prasad later said that a special leave petition was filed in the Supreme Court in the wake of the dismissal of the supplementary petitions filed by the government seeking revocation of orders issued on the constitutional breach.

“We have asked the Supreme Court to hold an urgent hearing on this on the 18th of this month to adjourn the hearing to next Monday,” said the prosecutor on behalf of the government. The tribunal refused and said, “If the Supreme court issues stay, the trial will be suspended. Otherwise we are all of soughts to continue the arguments on constitutional breach in the state on various people.”

During this ruckus, the High Court bench questioned whether it was normal for the police to kidnap and detain persons in violation of the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution. “Deprivation of personal liberty, violation of CRPC rules may be a normal thing for you but not for the court,” the bench said. “A man was illegally detained and tortured for a week. He was released after the case was filed in the High Court. When the rights of citizens cannot be protected what is the use of us being the High Court judges?” questioned the bench.

The tribunal made harsh remarks that prosecutors on behalf of the government and the police had threatened the court during a hearing on Monday on the same issue. A bench comprising Justice Rakesh Kumar and Justice Umadevi on Wednesday continued hearing the public interest litigation (PIL) filed by former TDP MLA Tenali Shravan Kumar (PIL) alleging that the Police were harassing the opposition protests along with that several habeas corpus petitions filed alleging illegal detention of persons by the police.
