The steel plant agitation is only increasing by the day, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, with everyone trying to save the Visakha steel plant from being privatised. As the Kapu community greatly factors in the votes, every political party is trying to appease this community, and this is the main reason why Pawan Kalyan contested from Gajuwaka in the 2019 elections.
While Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan is trying his best to make sure that the steel plant is privatised, Ganta Srinivas Rao reportedly feels that it is not enough, which is why he is pressurizing Pawan to take a more active role in the agitation. It is very well known that Ganta is close to both Chiranjeevi and Pawan, and this is said to be another reason for his actions.
Ganta also recently challenged all the parties to come together and announce a candidate for the Tirupati bypolls, on behalf of the steel plant agitation, and as a representative for it. This is understandably a huge problem for Pawan, who joined hands with the BJP to contest in the bypolls, together.
Ganta has reportedly put Pawan in a tight position, thereby trying to increase his vote bank in the Kapu community.
