It is known that Superstar Rajinikanth and star filmmaker Mani Ratnam have collaborated for 1991 critically acclaimed blockbuster hit ‘Thalapathy’.
The latest buzz is that the most celebrated actor in Indian cinema is said to be teaming up again with the veteran filmmaker after 31 years.
As per reports, Mani Ratnam has narrated a storyline to Rajinikanth and the latter liked it very much. It is heard that popular production banner ‘Lyca Productions’ will bankroll this big budget movie, which is expected to take off sometime in late 2023. However, it remains to be seen whether this magical repeat on the big screens.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film ‘Jailer’, which is directed by Nelson. After Jailer, he will begin shooting his first movie with Lyca directed by Cibil Chakravarty. On the other side, Mani Ratnam recently scored a big hit with ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’.
