Thomson Andrews, recently recognized as one of the top 40 Under 40 Media & Content Visionaries, looks back at his transformative 17-year journey from a passionate 17-year-old singer to an internationally acclaimed performer, producer, and composer.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude for this recognition, Thomson says, “It validates my path as an artist and entrepreneur—from my early days singing alongside AR Rahman to performing worldwide with stalwarts like Sunidhi Chauhan and arranging vocals for iconic shows like MTV Coke Studio and Unplugged.”

He’s also the driving force behind ThroanOf Art, his startup that mentors over 200 budding artists, and has lent his voice and expertise to major Hollywood and Bollywood projects. “Every project is about creating impact,” he shares.

Collaborating again with composer Pritam Da on Metro In Dino has been an exciting full-circle moment for Thomson. “I’m grateful to him for encouraging me to grow my skills,” he adds. Thomson recently lent vocals to songs like “Zamaana Lage,” “Dhaagena Tinak Dhin,” and even sang in Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King, showcasing his diverse range in international collaborations.

Stepping into hosting The Thomson Andrews Show was a natural evolution. “My show is about unfiltered stories that inspire. From creatives to CEOs, every guest adds a new layer to my purpose.”

When asked about his multilingual singing for 83, Thomson reveals, “It was all about embracing the cultural soul of each language.” On differences between Bollywood and Hollywood projects, he says, “Hollywood is all about pre-visualization and character consistency; Bollywood thrives on raw emotion and instinct.”

Reflecting on what aspiring singers need most today, he emphasizes resilience. “Your unique story is your superpower,” he says. “Technique can be learned, but resilience and authenticity will carry you through.”

Finally, he credits his creative fuel to global cultures and his strong sense of purpose. “Every song, every show, every new artist I mentor is part of a bigger story,” Thomson concludes. “That hunger to do more never fades — it only grows.”
