Ace producer Dil Raju is basking in the glory of six-sixers, as he fondly calls his films as balls after all of his releases scored well at box office. While he’ supposed to celebrate the occasion with enthusiasm and hungama, Raju revealed the emotional angle of it.
“Life is all about giving back. Standing by the people who are successful is nothing, but standing by those in crisis is a big thing. When Vamsi Paidipally’s Munna flopped, he slipped into a depression. I stood by him, gave him moral support and made him a successful director; same is the case with MCA director Venu Sriram who made Oh My Friend earlier” said Dil Raju, at the event, held to celebrate 2017’s six hits of Sri Venkateswara Arts.
However, while saying this, he revealed how tough it was for him to handle his wife Anitha’s unexpected death early this year without his friends and family who gave him moral support., “But it’s Vamsi, my friend Surendra and actor Prakash Raj who stood by me those 12 days. Since the moment I’ve landed in Hyderabad, Vamsi was with me, and then Prakash Raj as well. I can’t forget the moral support they gave to lift me out of the crisis”.
Talking about the six hits he scored, Dil Raju gave full credit to his directors, actor and other technicians for these hits. “Maybe these six hits have occurred in our production house, but they are the hard work of all those cast and crew, not just us” he asserts.
At the end of the event, Dil Raju invited all of his office staff and thanked them for such profane support they gave all these years. Needless to say, he’s a producer class apart!!
