Tollywood is gearing up for an exciting second half of 2025 with a strong line-up of big releases and several new film launches. While some highly anticipated movies are ready to hit the screens, a few major projects are also set to go on floors in the coming weeks.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, who was last seen in the 2023 film Bholaa Shankar, is making a strong comeback. By the end of this year, he will be seen in Vishwambhara, and for Sankranthi 2026, he is all set to entertain fans with a film directed by Anil Ravipudi. In September 2025, Chiranjeevi is also expected to start a new film with Bobby Kolli, which is planned for a 2026 release. After these, the much-anticipated project Chiru Odek will also take shape, ensuring that the star has three to four big releases by the end of 2026.
Nandamuri Balakrishna, who scored a hit with Daaku Maharaaj during Sankranthi this year, is now ready with Akhanda 2, which will release on September 25. Soon after, he will start shooting for another film with director Gopichand Malineni, aiming for a 2026 release. Discussions are also ongoing with Krish Jagarlamudi for Aditya 999, the sequel to the cult classic Aditya 369. If everything falls in place, Balayya could also have up to three releases before 2026 ends.
Victory Venkatesh, who delivered a blockbuster with Sankranthiki Vasthunam earlier this year, will next team up with Trivikram Srinivas for a new film. He is also making a guest appearance in the Chiranjeevi–Anil Ravipudi movie and is expected to start Drushyam 3 later this year or in early 2026.
King Nagarjuna, last seen in Kuberaa, will soon appear alongside Rajinikanth in Coolie. Meanwhile, preparations are in full swing for his landmark 100th film, which will be directed by Tamil filmmaker Ra. Karthik and is likely to be launched in August.
Among all these stars, Prabhas remains the busiest with multiple projects. He is currently shooting for The Raja Saab and Fauji. In September, he is expected to launch the highly anticipated Spirit with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
In addition to these, Nithiin will soon begin his film Yellamma, while actors like Gopichand, Sudheer Babu, Naga Shaurya, and Sundeep Kishan are also preparing to launch their new projects. With all these developments, the remainder of 2025 promises to be an exciting time for Tollywood movie lovers.
