The day has come and another star heroine is quitting her bachelor status quite officially. Yes, it is the wedding of dusky siren Sonam Kapoor with her longtime beau Anand Ahuja that is sprinkling Bollywood with charms now.
Other day Sonam turned up in an ivory-golden lehenga for the sangeet-Mehendi ceremony and it truly turned all the heads. As she is known for that ‘fashionista’ tag, surely everyone looks forward to her wedding to see what kind of style statement she gives with her wedding dresses. And this lehenga, designed by renowned Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, became the cynosure of eyes.
Designed using the famous chikankari, metallic lattice and signature mirror work, the lehenga got highlighted with silver zardozi, gold zari, tiny sequins, Swarovski crystals and pearls. It took almost 18 months to make this lehenga for the designer’s team and their artisans. And the result is clearly visible as Sonam flaunted it proudly.
In Tollywood, we have Samantha’s wedding saree and lehenga becoming the talk of the town as she too got it specially designed for the special occasions. Especially that saree where their life story is etched is truly magnificent.
