The much-anticipated teaser of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has finally dropped, offering a gripping glimpse into its intense and brutal cinematic universe. Headlined by Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film promises a stylised action spectacle with a dark emotional core.
Set for a theatrical release on March 19, 2025, the film is produced by KVN Productions and is expected to clash at the box office with Dhurandhar 2.
The teaser opens with a chilling voiceover declaring, “This war will be different,” immediately setting the tone. Striking visuals of a grand Royale Circus are intercut with intense close-ups of Yash, who plays a fierce character named Raya. The ominous warning, “You can’t go against the world and survive. Give up, Raya,” adds emotional weight to the narrative.
What follows is a barrage of high-octane action. Yash makes a commanding entry, rising from a bathtub before launching into a brutal fight sequence. His powerful line, “It’s over when I say it’s over,” underlines the character’s dominance. Explosions, gunfire, violent confrontations, and blood-soaked frames dominate the teaser, culminating in a shocking final shot involving a gruesome killing with a saw.
Toxic marks Yash’s return to the big screen after four years, following the massive success of KGF: Chapter 2 directed by Prashanth Neel. The actor has also co-produced the film under his banner Monstermind Creations and co-written the story alongside Geetu Mohandas.
The action sequences have been choreographed by renowned stunt director JJ Perry, known for his work in major Hollywood franchises, with additional stunt coordination by Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee. The film’s music is composed by Ravi Basrur, cinematography is handled by Rajeev Ravi, and editing is by Ujwal Kulkarni.
Looking ahead, Yash will also be seen portraying Ravan in Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari.
With its gritty tone, stylised visuals, and powerful action blocks, Toxic presents Yash in a fierce new avatar, promising an intense cinematic experience for audiences.
