Following the recent accident of the Telangana Minister of Finance, Etela Rajender, the Telangana CM KCR has instructed all his ministers to make use of the bulletproof cars to avoid any future mishaps. KCR has reportedly made it mandatory to use the bulletproof cars to his ministers and other VIPs who were not plying in the bulletproof cars even though they have been accorded with the choice to use them.
It is being reported that the CM also informed his ministers that Etela escaped the deadly accident in which his car turned turtle on a highway only because he was traveling in a bulletproof car. Earlier in the undivided Andhra Pradesh, only those ministers who were under the Maoist’s hit list were allowed to use bulletproof cars. However, the Telangana government has sanctioned the bulletproof cars to all its ministers.
With this order, all the ministers will now get to ply in luxurious Toyota Fortuners instead of the Scorpios. Usually, bulletproof cars weigh double the weight when compared to normal cars and hence the shock absorbers do not work efficiently causing severe back pain. This made the ministers not to use the bulletproof cars and they have been allotting them for their security men.
