Popular actress Trisha took to Instagram on Friday to sarcastically dismiss rumours that she was set to marry a Chandigarh-based businessman. In her Instagram story, she wrote, “I love when people plan my life for me. Just waiting for them to schedule the honeymoon too.”
The rumours, which claimed that both families were well-acquainted, follow a series of baseless speculations about the actress. Earlier this month, Trisha faced another unsettling incident when her residence in Teynampet received a bomb threat. Police, along with sniffer dogs, conducted a thorough search, only to confirm that the threat was a hoax.
Professionally, Trisha remains busy with several upcoming projects. She will play the female lead in Suriya’s ‘Karuppu’, directed by R J Balaji and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. The film, an action entertainer, also stars Malayalam actors Indrans, Sshivada, Swasika, and Tamil actors Yogi Babu and Natty in key roles. The music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar, with cinematography by GK Vishnu, known for his work in Bigil, Jawan, and Mersal.
Trisha is also set to star in ‘Vishwambhara’, produced by UV Creations under the banner of Vikram, Vamsi, and Pramod. Blending mythology and emotion, the film is scheduled for release in summer 2026. Actor Chiranjeevi has described it as a story that will appeal to both children and the child in every adult, reminiscent of the beloved Chandamama tales.
