Trisha has long been one of the leading actresses in South Indian cinema, establishing herself as a top star in Telugu and Tamil films. She has shared screen space with almost every major hero in these industries and has also appeared in a few Malayalam and Kannada films. However, her Bollywood journey never took off, with her career in Hindi cinema limited to just one film. Fifteen years ago, she made her Bollywood debut with Khatta Meetha, which unfortunately also became her last Hindi project. At that time, Trisha did not take the industry very seriously.
Her busy schedule in Telugu and Tamil cinema meant that Bollywood was never a priority, and she was unable to leave her mark there. Nevertheless, the desire to succeed in Bollywood has remained alive. Recently, Kollywood media began reporting that Trisha is planning a Bollywood re-launch. She has been spotted frequently traveling between Chennai and Mumbai and has reportedly been keeping in regular touch with a major media outlet. She is also reconnecting with old acquaintances and friends in the industry.
Currently, Trisha has two films in hand. She is starring in Vishwambhar alongside Chiranjeevi and in the Kollywood film Karuppu. She has not committed to any other new projects yet. Even though offers with good pay are coming her way in both industries, she remains selective, signing only projects where she likes the story and the character. She reportedly declines medium-range or Tier-2 hero projects, considering only those with star leads.
This year alone, Trisha has already had three releases. She was paired with Ajith in Vidamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly, and recently starred alongside Kamal Haasan in Tag Life. However, none of these films performed as expected at the box office. Currently, Vishwambhar is seen as her potential comeback project, though its release has been delayed due to post-production work. Fans are eagerly waiting to see if this film can help Trisha bounce back to the success she deserves.
