The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2025 kicked off in spectacular fashion at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City, celebrating the finest achievements in South Indian cinema. The grand opening night, dedicated to Telugu films, brought together top actors, filmmakers, and fans for an evening filled with glamour, entertainment, and pride.

The night’s biggest winner was Kalki 2898 AD, the epic starring Prabhas, which clinched four major awards thanks to its captivating storyline and stunning visuals. The film won Best Film, while cinematic legends Amitabh Bachchan and Annaben were honored with Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress, respectively. Kamal Haasan was recognized for his intense performance, taking home the Best Villain award.

The event also celebrated popular favorites, with Allu Arjun winning Best Actor for Pushpa 2, and Sukumar being named Best Director for the blockbuster. Critics’ choices were also highlighted, with Teja Sajja earning Best Actor (Critics) and Prasanth Varma receiving Best Director (Critics) for HanuMan.
