Rebel Star Prabhas is widely known not just for his larger-than-life screen presence but also for his larger-than-life love for food. Time and again, co-stars and technicians have shared stories about the grand meals he arranges for entire film units.

Now, the actor has revealed an incident that perfectly captures his passion for authentic flavours.

During a recent video interaction with Santosh Sobhan, Manasa Varanasi, and the team of Couple Friendly, shared by Telugu Filmnagar, Prabhas recalled a memorable moment from the sets of Adipurush in Mumbai.

One morning, he declared it a “cheat day” on set and asked everyone to skip their routine meals. He promised to treat the entire team to special Chennai-style cuisine. Naturally, the unit was excited and waited eagerly.

But hours passed — and the food didn’t arrive.

Confusion slowly spread across the set. When the crew finally asked about the delay, Prabhas dropped the surprise: the food wasn’t being sourced from a Chennai-style restaurant in Mumbai — it was coming directly from Chennai itself!

The dishes were freshly prepared in Chennai, packed in hot carriers, flown to Mumbai, and delivered straight to the shooting location — still warm and aromatic.

Laughing about the episode, Prabhas explained that he simply prefers original, authentic flavours over local alternatives. For him, the wait was absolutely worth it.

Interestingly, despite common assumptions, his favourite rice dish isn’t biryani. The actor has earlier revealed that his top choice is Royyala Pulav — a spicy prawn pulao packed with rich coastal flavours.

Clearly, when it comes to food, Prabhas never compromises. Whether it’s cinema or cuisine, he believes in going the extra mile — even if it means flying a meal across cities just to get the perfect taste.
