Exit polls from the ongoing Tamil Nadu political scenario have triggered strong reactions, especially among fans of actor-turned-politician Vijay, who is contesting his first election under his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
According to several projections, some exit polls indicate a notable performance for TVK, while Axis My India has gone a step further by forecasting a dominant showing. The survey suggests that the party could win between 98 and 120 seats, potentially overtaking the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). If these predictions come close to reality when results are declared on May 4, Vijay could emerge as a serious contender for the Chief Minister’s post.
These exit poll trends have sparked celebrations among his supporters, with “CM Vijay” trending widely on social media platforms. The buzz has also amplified public interest in the political debut of the popular actor.
At the same time, the developments have led to comparisons with actor-politician Pawan Kalyan. Some social media users have been drawing parallels with his early political journey, pointing out that in his debut election, he faced setbacks and his Jana Sena Party secured only one seat.
However, Pawan Kalyan’s political career saw a major turnaround in the 2024 elections, where he won 21 seats and later became the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Despite this, online discussions continue to compare the two actor-politicians, with some users even hailing Vijay as a rising force in Tamil Nadu politics.
