Udayabhanu has always been one of the boldest and most outspoken personalities on Telugu television, but her latest revelations have left fans stunned. While promoting her upcoming film Barbarik Tribanadhari, which is hitting theatres on August 22, the anchor-turned-actress shared some candid details about her career choices that are now trending across social media.
She revealed that despite her popularity as an anchor, she turned down several film offers, including big-banner opportunities. Producers even approached her for special songs in star-studded films, but she often walked away if the role didn’t feel right. The biggest shocker came when she disclosed that she had rejected a party song in the blockbuster Attarintiki Daredi, directed by Trivikram Srinivas and starring Pawan Kalyan. According to her, she wasn’t comfortable appearing in that setup alongside such big stars, so she chose to step aside.
Udayabhanu clarified that this wasn’t an isolated case—she said “no” multiple times to projects that didn’t align with her comfort and dignity. At the same time, she made another sensational claim: that certain groups of Tollywood anchors allegedly ganged up against her and tried to block her opportunities. She hinted that she may soon reveal the names of those who harassed her in the industry.
Though she’s not seen frequently on TV these days, her fearless statements have once again sparked debate. Love her or hate her, Udayabhanu has made it clear that every decision she took—including rejecting offers from the biggest stars—was her own, and she stands firmly by them.
