Undavalli Arun Kumar, once a prominent figure in Andhra Pradesh politics, may no longer be an active participant, but he continues to capture media attention with his opinions on the state’s political landscape. Today, he made waves by expressing his support for Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, stating that Kalyan is emerging as the right leader for Andhra Pradesh. According to Undavalli, Pawan Kalyan has shown more dedication in advocating for the state’s bifurcation justice compared to both Jagan and Chandrababu.
Undavalli further emphasized that Kalyan needs to prove his commitment to fighting for the people’s interests in Andhra Pradesh. He believes Kalyan is the only leader who can take on the central government to secure crucial grants for the state. Undavalli pointed out that Andhra Pradesh should be receiving over Rs 74,000 crore in post-bifurcation funds, and Kalyan must champion this cause.
A few days ago, there were rumors circulating on social media that Undavalli might join the YSR Congress Party and align with Jagan. However, it seems that Undavalli is leaning toward Pawan Kalyan, possibly due to his belief that Jagan’s leadership does not offer the right platform for his political comeback. Undavalli may see Pawan Kalyan as his best chance to re-enter Andhra Pradesh politics, even if it remains a distant possibility.
