Union Government And Maharashtra Blame Each Other Over Vaccine Shortage!

When the country is facing the wrath of the second wave of the ongoing deadly disease, the issue of vaccine shortage in the states came as an added burden on India.

However, the shortage of vaccine doses has led to a dispute between the Union Government and the states. Both the parties started a blame game over the scarcity of vaccines.

Launching an attack on the Centre, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said the present vaccination stocks will last for three to four days and demanded the Centre to send the vaccine doses in large numbers.

He even put the blame for the closure of vaccination centres on the Centres due to the shortage of vaccine doses. He even alleged that the Centre is sending fewer vaccine doses than the required doses.

Rajesh Tope attack came after the Union Government opined that Maharashtra is wasting the vaccine doses. Union minister Prakash Javadekar said the state has wasted five lakh doses of vaccinations.

The other day, Union health minister Harsh Vardhan has come down severely on the Maharashtra government over the vaccines issue and said that the government had a casual approach towards the pandemic situation as a result of the misgovernance.

However, the Maharashtra government found fault with the statement issued by the Union Government in this regard and said, the statement clearly shows the hatred of the Union Government towards the Maratha land.
