America has given a shock to the leading social media company Facebook. Facebook has been ordered by a U.S. court to pay a hefty fine. The court ordered Facebook to pay $ 650 million. U.S. District Judge James Donato is hearing a petition filed in Illinois, the USA in 2015 alleging that Facebook violated personal privacy policy.
However, a lawyer said that Facebook was tagging the photo of Facebook users without their consent, as well as using biometric data. Nearly 16 lakh Facebook users have also filed claims in this regard.
U.S. District Judge James Donato, who conducted the trial, ruled that Facebook did not comply with the terms of the privacy policy. The court ordered Facebook to pay $ 650 million.
